Who we are
Carzbooth runs the website at carzbooth.com and the service that turns car photos into studio booth shots. If you have a question about this policy or about your data, write to contact@carzbooth.com and a person will answer.
What we collect
Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and email Google shares with us. Passwords are stored in a scrambled form that we cannot read.
Your photos: the car photos you upload, and the finished booth shots we create from them.
Messages: anything you send us by email or through the contact page.
Technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, recorded in the logs of our hosting provider when you visit.
Your cookie choice, stored on your device so we do not ask you again every visit.
How we use it
To create your account and let you sign in
To turn your photos into booth shots and give them back to you
To answer your questions and give you support
To keep the service secure and to fix problems
To understand how the service is used so we can improve it
To meet our legal obligations
Your photos stay yours
We use the photos you upload to provide the service to you, and for nothing else. We do not sell them, we do not publish them, and we do not use them in our own marketing without asking you first.
Why we are allowed to use your data
Where the law asks for a reason, ours are these: we need your data to deliver the service you asked for, we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and working well, and where we ask for your consent, such as for optional cookies, we rely on that consent and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the companies that help us run the service, and only as far as they need to:
Hosting and infrastructure providers that serve the website and store data
Our authentication and database provider, which handles sign-in and stores accounts and files
Google, if you choose to sign in with Google
Computing providers that process your photos on our behalf
We may also share data when the law requires it, or if Carzbooth is ever sold or merged, in which case we would tell you first.
Where your data is kept
Our database and file storage are hosted in South Korea (Seoul). Our other providers may process data in other countries. Where data leaves your country, we rely on the protections the law provides for that kind of transfer.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details and photos while your account is open. When you ask us to delete them, or close your account, we remove them. Copies in our backups can take a little longer to clear. Messages you send us are kept as long as we need them to deal with your request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
Show you the data we hold about you
Correct anything that is wrong
Delete your data
Give you a copy you can take elsewhere
Stop using your data for a particular purpose
To use any of these, email contact@carzbooth.com. If you are not happy with how we handled your request, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
How we protect it
The site runs over HTTPS, so what you send us is encrypted on its way. Our database is set up so that each account can only reach its own data. No system is perfect, but we treat your photos and details with care, and we fix problems quickly when we find them.
Children
Carzbooth is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. For anything significant, we will also tell you by email.
